With
Vietnam as our backdrop, we will explore the
themes of Limitations, Death and Grieving through an existential
lens. We will have enlightening seminars with the acclaimed Analyst, Dr.
Alfried Langle, scenic excursions, cultural
immersion with locals, and more.
Our journey
will begin in the UNESCO village of Hoian and the stunning landscape
and local village life, Afternoons will take us out for
enlightening excursions all the while immersing you in the local
culture. We will board a small luxury cruise ship and float down
Lan Ha Bay, seeing vistas of natural beauty unlike any other, with
floating farms and villages, exciting excursions and scenery that
will take your breath away!
Vietnam has a
fascinating history, gorgeous landscapes, world-renowned food, and
vibrant energy all
of which will awaken your senses. Visiting Vietnam is unlike any
trip you’ve taken before. Vietnam’s tumultuous recent history of
The Vietnam War (or, as the rest of the world knows it as, The
American War) ties into the themes of our lectures and academic
activities.
Being in and
experiencing Vietnam and Vietnamese culture in the context of
Existentialism is a unique and powerful experience. Certain things like
war, colonialism and historical events all have an impact on
individual people, families, villages and countries. The history of
this country makes an impact on contemporary life. Seeing how the
war impacted the culture, resilience, community, architecture and
food can give strength and hope and tell the story of a people and
place.
Join us as
we guide you through Existential concepts. You will learn:
- Understanding the
role and importance of limitations in life
- Learning the
importance of accepting limitations in one’s own life and with
patients
- Seeing the
potential in limitations and being able to use our limits and
boundaries effectively
- Understanding grief
- Assisting clients
through the grieving process
- Establishing a
friendly relationship with death
- Learning to
accompany dying people
